Elaina? Blogging? Wha...?

If you know me, you probably figured that I would never start one of these. If you don't know me, here's a disclaimer: I am not a blogger. I am not a "journaler." All my childhood diaries had good intentions but eventually just ended up gathering dust under my bed, filled with empty pages. I am not a comedian; I can't guarantee that there will be anything remotely witty or funny in these blogs (however, I will try!!!) I'm not even a very good speler! (Ha!.... Get it?.....)

BUT! I am a member of Purdue Habitat for Humanity. I am a cyclist. I am one of the newest members of Bike and Build 2013.

BIKE AND BUILD!!!!!!

Thus, the reason for starting this blog is not because I want to post intimate details of my life online (although I'm sure over the course of the summer, you might learn some things about me that you didn't know before. Heck, I'll learn some things I didn't know about me.) I am starting this blog in order to share my journey across the United States with my friends and family and anyone else who is interested in why I'm biking across the country and who my pedaling is benefiting.

I'd love it if you joined me on this journey (virtually)! Please check out this blog every once in a while, and I'll explain more about my cause and my upcoming summer in future posts.
